The team has been built from the ground up, in 2019 we were just three people and as of May 2022 we are over 100. It’s a growing team in a growing business.

OUR TECH TEAMS

Our Sports Services division works across events operations, data collection and computer vision. The work we do underpins our business. We constantly push boundaries. We created a system that revolutionised real-time data collection for golf; and our tech & teams can be seen at tournaments across the globe. We support the DP World Tour, ATP, UTR, European Leagues, EuroLeague Basketball, and many more.

Currently, we’re working on a new real-time data collection, management and distribution platform that can support and scale across different sports, events and tournament formats. The new end-to-end service includes tournament management apps, player and ball tracking systems as well as an enhanced electronic line calling system. This allows us to collect, transform and provide live data for different event formats and quickly onboard new sports such as football, basketball and volleyball!

Data teams at IMG ARENA have the exciting mission to think like sports fans and build new and innovative data products that drive engagement whilst mastering the fundamentals of delivering sports data.

Our data platform takes on key challenges such as how to deliver end-to-end latency of less than a second and real-time consolidation of data points from a variety of collection methods – from both official data collectors and computer vision models.

We are currently expanding our scala, java, data engineering and data science teams as we take on new sports and experiment with new sport statistics.

The web department at IMG ARENA is responsible for creating the Event Centres, our rich data widgets that include things like real time statistics, scores, 3D rendering of live action. We also create internal tooling and B2B software that requires collaboration with everyone in the company. We are all full-stack developers working on typescript in a modern development stack (React, NodeJS, Apollo, Next…). It’s a challenging and ever-changing field where we must put the user first and provide incredible UI and constant high performance, even during the peak of sport events when all our users are connected at once.

We provide sporting action at the click of a button – 24/7, 365 days a year.

In the Streaming Team you’ll be responsible for delivering the backbone of our streaming services that relay live video streams right from the event to users across the globe in real-time, ensuring scalability and reliability. We primarily work with Java, Terraform and AWS, delivering with all the good stuff like pipelines as code, DevOps, Kubernetes, automated versioning/releasing.

We’re looking for awesome technologists, with a drive to experiment, optimise processes, learn new things, and push the boundaries of what we can deliver and how.

Platform Engineering teams at IMG ARENA build our revolutionary cloud platform/IDP that underpins the delivery, scalability and reliability of our products and services. We use many modern technologies and methodologies including AWS, K8s and Gitops. The industry is evolving rapidly and we’re continuously evaluating and improving.

QA at IMG ARENA work to continuously improve the quality of our products and services. We do this through a strong focus on automation and best practices. Working directly with development teams we ensure IMG ARENA delivers with quality baked into everything we do.
